Sweet Potato Fries are the new regular potato fries. They’re so delicious and tasty and just a teeny bit healthier than regular fries so we feel so much better about eating them! These fries are pretty much a staple in our diets and we eat them almost weekly with one meal or another, so I think everyone should know how to make them so they can enjoy them as much as we do! This recipe is for Crispy Rosemary Sweet Potato Fries – the cornstarch helps to add that perfectly crispy texture, the chili powder adds a little hint of spice and warmth, and the rosemary is fresh and fragrant and takes them to the next level.
So how do you make these amazing sweet potato fries?! Start by cutting two large sweet potatoes into ¼“ matchsticks. You can take the skin off if you prefer, but I like to leave it on… there are a lot of nutrients in the skin after all. Once you have cut the sweet potatoes up, toss them with some cornstarch until they are thinly coated. Make sure it’s just a thin coating, you don’t want them clumpy. Next toss the potatoes with olive oil, chili powder, rosemary, salt, and pepper and then lay the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet (make sure they’re in a single layer and spread out otherwise they’ll steam and not get crispy). Bake them for about 30-40 minutes at 400 degrees until they’re golden and crispy and amazingly delicious! Enjoy them with your favorite meal – like our Hawaiian Chicken Burgers or Green Chile Turkey Burgers – or even on their own as a yummy snack!
